Love this wild camping. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we stayed for a second night. Had to buy a large 10ltr water container from one of the food stores cos I didn't fancy making tea from the rainwater in the tank. Might have had a few bugs swimming around and picking them from one's teeth didn't appeal.
A wet start on the Friday for our waterfall walk. Good job we threw the coats in the back of the car. Loved the walks to them, with the rough tracks and very slippery surfaces. Lots of steps up and down and steep inclines but well worth it.

It may have been a wet start but by the afternoon the blue skies returned and the temperature soared. Back at the site and we had a visitor. Stopped and glared at us and then flew onto the top of the caravan door. Soon we were joined by others. We invited them in, but they declined excepting the offering of bread instead.
Another place we visited was the Kennett River. Koalas could be seen along a road leading away from the river. Sure enough, they were there in their numbers, all but one asleep and that was munching away on the manna gum leaves.

So hot that afternoon. Up in the '30s so we stopped at Koala Cove Cafe for a cold milkshake. Couldn't believe my luck when a Kookaburra landed on the rail and allowed me to get up close. Not just the Kookaburra but parrots too.

Time to move on again tomorrow. Heading for Apollo Bay about 40 km from here. Loads more things to see and do including (if we can get it booked) canoeing with Platypus, seeing the Glow Worms and more Waterfalls.
