Today we moved...about 80 kilometres further South to a place called Sanctuary Point near Jervis Bay. Crikey... at this rate, I can't see us making it to Adelaide. Just too much to see and do along this part of the coast and, never expecting to visit this way again, just have to stop and visit! Anyway, we had been told that Whales had still been sighted making their long migration South and could be seen off the beach at Currajong so as soon as we found the caravan site and got parked, we set off doing the 60k to the viewing point.
We looked and looked and looked some more but not a sign of Whales or Dolphins. What we did see was the biggest ant I have ever seen. At nearly an inch long it was not only massive but very intimidating! In fact, I was taking a photo of this...
when Ian suddenly shouted that a huge and was making its way toward my foot. You have never seen me move so fast!
With no sign of the Whales, we headed off for a walk around the headland.

Having walked nearly 3 kilometres with the sun setting fast and the bugs starting to bite big time, never was I so glad to see the car. Back at the van, thankfully we have air conditioning. Boy was it hot and humid and so needed. The unit is very loud but cooled us down within minutes.
Tomorrow we have decided to pay the 65 dollars each to take a boat tour to find the Whales. Hopefully, we will get to see them but a lot of luck is needed...being in the right place at the right time helps of course!
